Steps to use Testsigma

1. Sign up and access the dashboard
Go to Testsigma’s website and sign up/login if already have an account. Then you will be directed to dashboard which will give an overview of our projects, test executions, and recent activity.

2. Create a new testcase

  • In the dashboard, click on the Test Development tab from the side panel.
  • Then click the Create New Test Case button.

You will be prompted to provide details such as:

  • Name for your test case.
  • Test Type (functional, regression, etc.)
  • Choose the Application type (Web, Mobile, etc.)

3. Write test steps using natural language

  • Once the test case is created, you’ll see the option to add steps.
  • To add a new test step, click on Add Step.
  • Use the English-like syntax to describe your test steps.

4. Add assertion for validation

  • To verify expected outcomes, we can add Assertions as part of the test steps.
  • Assertions ensure that your test case checks whether the application behaves as expected.

5. Run test on multiple browsers

  • Once test case is ready, click on Run to execute the test.
  • We can select the execution environment, run tests locally, on cloud browsers, or in parallel across different browsers and operating systems.
  • Choose from multiple browser types (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) or platforms (Windows, Mac, etc.) to test across various environments.

6. View results and reports

  • After the test execution completes, head over to the Test Results section where you can see detailed reports of test success or failure.
  • The results include logs, screenshots of test execution, and performance analytics.

7. Integrate with CI/CD

  • To integrate Testsigma with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI, navigate to Settings and select Integrations.
  • Set up CI/CD pipeline to automatically trigger tests after each code commit or deployment.
