Backstory
Slotty is a lonely slot machine, stuck on his own in a nondescript small-town truck-stop diner in [Rural Town]. He’s more often used as a drinks holder than a game and he’s fed up.
One day he overhears a traveling family at the diner talking about their vacation to [Big City], where rows and rows of slot machines spin busily all day long! He fantasises about a new life, and decides enough is enough. He sets out on an exciting, dangerous journey to [Big City].
Slotty’s journey will not be without its perils though. [Nemesis] is the diner owner who’s content with his little slice of small-town life. With a limited customer base, [Nemesis] hired Slotty to entertain his customers and rake in a few bucks while he’s at it. Not happy with losing his only source of supplemental income, [Nemesis] wants Slotty back where he belongs–on a greasy countertop next to the plastic ketchup and mustard bottles and salt and pepper shakers. Slotty manages to always stay one step ahead of [Nemesis] but he’s never far behind. Dilly-dally too much and he’ll no doubt catch up.
But Slotty’s not completely alone in his travels. He makes a life-long friend along the way–a bucket named Bucky. Slotty and Bucky are like two peas in a pod. Bucky helps carry Slotty’s treasures and helps fend off [Nemesis] when he gets too close. However, anytime Bucky has to fight off [Nemesis] he drops a little bit of loot. Slotty’s got to move quickly to keep his winnings.
